“He giveth power to the faint, and they that have no might he increaseth strength.”
Isaiah 40:29
God has never chosen the strong but the weak! When God calls us, He doesn’t choose us based on our strength, might, wisdom, nobility or cleverness. It is not based on our talent or how educated we may be. “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”
1 Corinthians 1:26-27
It is through our weakness, faltering and failings, God shows forth His power, strength and wisdom. Do you know that it’s through our hopelessness that God displays His power? God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. You can do all things via His strength! Apostle Paul says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 4:13
How do we connect with His strength?
- Depend on His power
“For by thee I have run through a troop, and by my God have I leapt over a wall.”
Psalms 18:29
God’s power is not for the strong!
The attitude of dependence upon the Lord attracts His attention and draws Him to us and causes Him to manifest His strength through us.
Our inadequacies should pull us to God, and not pull us away from Him. God gives us the power to deal with the enemy! “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Luke 10:19
Only through God, can we do valiantly.
Do you want to tread down on your enemies? Then depend on His power, not your power! - Draw near to Him in heartfelt prayers
“My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”
Psalms 84:2
The kind of weakness to which God responds is that which produces a sense of dependence on Him.
God will show up on your behalf as you draw near to Him in prayers daily.
Spend quality time in His presence. - Exchange your strength for His strength!
“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:30-31
As you wait upon the Lord a great exchange takes place! He takes away your strength and replaces it with His own. It is not about combining your strength with His. No! Your strength is useless in this operation.
Have you acknowledged your need for His strength? Then loudly declare: “My Lord, my King I need your strength now!”
I decree and declare that you will experience God’s strength now and always in Jesus’ mighty name.
Yours sincerely,
Joe Jesimiel Ogbe
