Lessons from my QuietTime:
Understanding the Power of Belief
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
Mark 9:23
Belief is about Faith! Belief is about possessing a possibility mentality.
It is a powerful instrument that determines your actions or conducts in life. Belief is the power that moves a man from one level to another, from ground zero to the apogee of life. A Wiseman said, “A man is what he believes.” Your belief is your compass and maps that guide you toward your goals and give you the surety to know you will get there. When your belief system is in proper alignment you can determine the possibility of things easily. For instance, the moment you truly believe that you are a candidate of favour mentally, an unusual ability is injected into you, propelling you towards being favoured. But also the moment you saddle yourself with doubts and unbelief, inability is injected into you, causing you to be disfavoured.
What to believe in:

  1. God
“Who by him do believe in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”
    1 Peter 1:21
Why believe in God? Because God is the  Source of all good things. Every good thing comes from the Father of lights! The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…”
    James 1:17
  2. Jesus
“While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide from them.”
    John 12:36
We can only become the children of Light by believing in the Light. And Jesus is the Light! We become children of Jesus by faith!
  3. Yourself
Why believe in yourself? Because the way you see or rate yourself is the way people will rate you. Stop looking down on yourself and your abilities. You don’t need anybody’s approval to make it in life. All you need is YOU!
  4. People
Why believe in people? Because people are inevitably a part of your journey through life. At one point or the other, you will always need other people. If our Lord Jesus Christ believed in His twelve disciples to entrust a global ministry into their hands, you have no reason or excuse not to believe in people, especially those that work with you. But be hypersensitive in the spirit as you deal with people. Some people can be green snakes under the green grass!
I decree and declare that you will command benefits from your belief system in Jesus’ mighty name.
    Yours sincerely,
    Joe Jesimiel Ogbe
