“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
Psalms 119:89
God’s Word is settled in heaven means that His Word continues or stays the same all the time forever. God’s Word is God, hence the Word’s ability to endure forever. God is faithful forever and ever. His Word too is faithful and can deliver results. God by His Word made heaven and the earth. And they are still settled as heaven and earth. All His creations continue today because of His Word.
In Hebrew 1:3, we are told that God upholds “all things by the word of His power” If God’s Word is Settled in heaven, then it pays us to settle with the settled Word. And we can do this by reading, studying, meditating, confessing and doing the Word.
Let’s consider 3 things the settled Word will do for us:
1. The settled Word will procure
Breakthrough
“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.”
Luke 5:4-5
Simon Peter, an experienced fisherman was suffering and struggling in his fishing business until the settled Word from Jesus Christ gave him a breakthrough. Peter’s encounter with and obedience to the settled Word of God ended his suffering.
2. The settled Word will procure
Miracle
“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”
John 2:5
Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ knew about the settled Word I presume! She knew that the Word from her Son will procure miracles, hence her instruction to the servants to do whatever Jesus, the Word says.
Our miracles are connected to our obedience to the settled Word.
3. The settled Word will not be prolonged.
“Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged anymore, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.”
Ezekiel 12:28
The settled Word cannot be intimidated by delay. No matter how long it takes the settled Word will procure the needed results. No matter the pain or suffering you have been going through or are going through right now, your settlement or joy is around the corner. That mess is becoming a message which will gladden people.
I decree and declare that you will command greater Blessings by the settled Word of God in Jesus’ mighty name.
