“And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined doing.”
Genesis 11:6
In the passage under review, there was no tall building anywhere in the world when men started imagining the tower of Babel. Imagination is the mother of action. Without imagination, action is impotent! Whatever you want to be or do, you must first imagine it or conceptualize it. You will be able to do anything you have imagined. Imagination is the mother of reality! Imagination has the power to make things happen! Whatever you imagine consistently, is likely going to become a practical reality.
What is imagination?
According to Webster’s dictionary, “Imagination is the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality.” You are created with the ability to imagine or visualise things or situations that do not exist yet.
Imagine good, and goodwill come to you! Imagine progress, and you will make progress! Imagine success, and you will become successful.
The truth is that your imagination can be negative or positive. It has the power to work for you or against you. You should stop every evil imagination from manifesting. The Bible says, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Genesis 6:5
Good and positive imagination will profit you, but evil and negative imagination will not. The choice is yours!
Let’s consider 3 forces that can influence your imagination:
- The Force of God!
As the Creator, God has power over your imagination! That means God can influence your imagination or what you think about. It is wise to surrender your thoughts and imagination to Him. Call on Him to help you with your imagination always. Tell Him to navigate or keep your imagination toward Him and the profitable things of life. The Bible says, “O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:”
1 Chronicle 29:18 - The Force of man!
At creation, God has equipped man with the ability to think. And every thinking man can also imagine things. You have the power to devise imagination in your mind. Just as you can imagine unproductive and vain things, you can also imagine productive and profitable things. “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?”
Psalms 2:1
Devising wicked imaginations will not profit you. Try by all means to stop it.
The Bible says, “A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief.”
Proverbs 6:18 - The Force of satan!
Satan is the father or origin of all evil imaginations. He is the evil force within an un-regenerated man that makes one man think or imagine evil against another man. We are enjoined not to imagine evil against our fellow man! The Bible says, “And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.”
Zechariah 8:17
As a child of God, you can gain control over every satanic imagination through prayer and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
I decree and declare that you will engage the power of imagination to your advantage in Jesus’ mighty name!
Yours sincerely,
