“… Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.”
Zechariah 4:6-7
Until we recognise the powerlessness of human might or power the better for us! The truth is that there is a limit to how far you can go in life with your might or power. Your might will not hold sway in critical moments of life; only the grace of God will. His grace empowers us to function with strength. It is His grace that empowers us to start a project and finish it. With God, there is no abandoned project!
Not by might is about:
1. Grace!
And grace is about God enabling you and me to do anything or accomplish any project we could not do by our human power. Goliath was a great man with great military prowess but was defeated by David, a young man with grace. I will rather rely on the grace of God than on my human power or ability! What about you?
2. Obstacle remover!
The Great mountain in the passage under review is a great obstacle! Many people are not succeeding simply because of human and demonic obstacles. Many have tried to make headway in life but to no avail, as their great mountain will not allow them. Today I decree that all your obstacles be rolled up and cast into the ocean of nothingness in Jesus’ name!
3. God’s power!
The Power to start a project and to finish it is of God. No man can boast of tomorrow. No man can boast of finishing a race or project without divine support! The Bible says, “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.”
Zechariah 4:9
The God who does not faint or grow weary will enable you to finish all your projects this year. There is no carryover to next year for you! God who created heaven and earth within six days, will empower you to finish yours within three months! Only believe! Receive the grace of God for accomplishment in Jesus’ mighty name!
Yours sincerely,
