The worth or value of counsellors can not be over-emphasized! The truth is that the more wise counsel we get and follow, the better our chances in life!
God has packaged our safety in the hands of counsellors! God’s desire for us is that we be guided in life. If we lack wise and intelligent guidance, we will go off course like a ship without a helm. The truth is that our safety is in the hands of good and God-sent counsellors. Many of us are falling behind in life just because we failed to place value on counselling or take advantage of the multitude of counsellors out there. The Worth of counsellors is in the fact that God did not design or fabricate us to solve all problems. We don’t know it all. Nobody has the monopoly on answers or solutions to human issues. We will ever need experts cum counsellors to help us solve personal or career-related problems. As a student, for instance, you sure need counsel on academic challenges or a choice of courses to pursue. It is a height of pride not to seek or consult counsellors.
Who should counsel us?
It is not just every Jack and Harry
out there that should counsel us! No! We should seek help from professionals or those who know their onions.
When to seek help?
We seek counsel when we want to embark on a project. The Bible says, “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war…”
Proverbs 24:6
We can also seek counsel when our spiritual life is not experiencing growth or when our relationship with God or man is getting strained.
