Ideally, our familiar or close friends should not be suspected of any evil or unscrupulous act against us! But we are not living in an ideal world. We are living in a world full of all manner of evil, deceptions, hypocrisies and satanic manipulations! These days close friends and even spouses have gone on a rampage; maiming and hurting their loved ones. Many friends are no longer worth trusting anymore, as some of them are competing with wicked people in the promotion of heinous crimes against their bosom buddies. Are you wondering why, or surprised? I’m not surprised because the devil has twisted many people’s minds and moved them to cause so much evil in our world. Some demonized husbands are killing their wives. Same with demonized wives killing their husbands. It beats my imagination to hear of some mothers and fathers killing their children. What a world! The passage under review is a prophetic word concerning what a close friend would do against the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember that Judas Iscariot became the ready tool in the hands of Satan to fulfil that scripture!
3 ways not to fall a victim:
- The Way of Sensitivity!
If you don’t want to fall victim then you must be spiritually sensitive. It takes the spirit of discernment to be sensitive or perceptive. And it takes sensitivity to unravel or see beyond the facade. It takes the Spirit of God to reveal the secret things in a man’s heart. Don’t forget the Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9
Is your friend becoming so nice all of sudden? Only God knows the content of his or her heart. Ask God to bless you with the spirit of sensitivity! - The Way of prayers!
God is ever with those people who constantly commit themselves to Him in prayers. Only God knows the man and whatever is going on in a man’s heart. With prayers, every household enemy or close friend will be stopped from harming you and all of yours. The place of prayers cannot be overemphasised. It is through prayers that we can stop the attacks and fiery darts of the enemy. It is my prayer that the evil secret plans of our fake familiar friends may be revealed to us. God is the revealer of secrets! - The Way of knowledge!
Practically seek to know some things about your familiar friends. Unfortunately, many people don’t know their friends. Don’t be too naive or simple-minded! Seek knowledge of your friend! If a friend is envious of you or your results or achievement, he or she could be a suspect. Jealous friends, spouses or even siblings are easy tools to be used by the devil to hurt you. Watch your back!
Also, if your familiar friend is prone to rage or violence, he or she could become an instrument in the hands of Satan. Does your friend love money more than they love you? Do you think he or she can do ANYTHING for money? Is he or she close to you just because of your position or what they stand to gain from you? Be careful, they might carry out the “ministry of Judas Iscariot” in your life.
I decree and declare that you will not fall victim to the evil devices of your familiar friends in Jesus’ mighty name.
