“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day…”
Acts 26:22
The help of God is superior to the help of man! We all need the help of God in our lives and ministries or businesses. In the passage under review, if not for the help of God, Apostle Paul who went through all kinds of challenges would have discontinued his ministry. The truth is that we all need God’s help to continue in our various vocations or assignments. We sure need God’s help in this life! We must humble ourselves and run boldly to Him and ask for His help. “Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”
Heb 4:16
Without God’s help our skills, abilities and talents would amount to nothing or become useless! Have you not seen people with great skills in the labour market? Have you not seen men with great certificates struggling in life?
Have you not seen beautiful ladies with great careers looking for husbands?
Don’t boast about your achievement because without His help you would not have achieved anything great. So, give Him all the glory! It is only when God helps you that you are truly helped. Because the help of man is vain without God! Happiness is your portion when you deliberately and concertedly make God your helper! The Bible says, “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:”
Psalms 146:5
3 Steps to enjoying the help of God:

  1. Become a covenant child of God!
Are you a child of God via Jesus Christ? The Bible says, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)
If you are a child of God, then you are entitled to divine help!
  2. Be humble!
It takes humility to get help from God. The proud and arrogant cannot enjoy the help of God! It is humility that recognises his weakness and needs help. Are you a humble person? Then look up to God for His help! David said,
“I will lift my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
  3. Come before God boldly!
You are a child of God! You don’t have to come before your Father fidgeting or being scared. Boldly approach His presence with confidence. God, our heavenly Father wants us to come before Him with resolute confidence and boldness. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
    Hebrews 13:6
I decree and declare that you will enjoy the Help of God always in Jesus’ mighty name!
    Yours sincerely,
